Halal food is poultry and meats (cannot eat pork at all) that are prepared in a special way so that Muslim people can eat it. Everyday I pay for my lunch but there's nothing to eat because there is always poultry and pork and meat being served so all that's available are soggy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which i don't eat. Imagine yummy fried chicken, beef burgers and spaghetti and meat balls there but you can't eat it but everyone around you is enjoying their lunch while you're stuck there with a soggy, gross sandwich. New York City has many Muslim students that would benefit from this and not just me.

I think people should be able to eat and follow their religion without thinking twice and tensioning. Let them be.

This is very important to me because I am a student that can only eat soggy pb & j for lunch.

I have a child that attends public school and is always hungry and can't eat the food because it does not conform to the require diet.

Unlike Pamela Geller and the Fox News Idiot Chamber, I'm not the least bit afraid of Islam, and I have no problem with Muslim schoolchildren being allowed food options that suit their religious strictures.
