Minnesota State Legislature: Say No to the Minnesota Beer Tax

    1. Petition by

      The Minnesota Beer Drinkers Alliance

We strongly oppose the regressive ‘beer tax’ legislation passed by the Minnesota House of Representatives that proposes raising taxes on beer by more than 600%. Help stop the proposal that will raise beer prices across the entire state while hitting hard working middle class families and Minnesota's growing brewery industry.

There is less than one week left in the legislative session, and your signature is important in making it known that Minnesotans won’t stand for the beer tax.

Please join us by signing the petition and saying 'NO' to raising taxes on Minnesota's working families.

600% Really?? Don't people pay enough in taxes??!!?!? If your raising our taxes, when are you going to raise our minimum wage so we can afford the tax hike?

Not only is the tax ALREADY higher than all our surrounding states, it is a tax that will primarily affect the lower and middle class...classes Dayton has vowed to protect.

You are going to run all people out of this state, we are being taxed to death. Stop spending more money then what we have. Thank you!

Because the beer brewers in this state bring in a lot of revenue and create and export commodity with other states. Why penalize them for keeping their business in our state? If this happens with the beer industry, it wil be something else we love tomorrow. The state needs to start budgeting their money like everyone else has to instead of relying on a continued increase in taxes on the middle class.
