Victory

Rolly Perreaux: We declare victory because of today's release of the new Facebook Beta App for Windows Phone 8

The current Facebook app for Windows Phone does not work properly.

For example, if you tap on any item for details, when you press the Back key the page is refreshed and the user is taken to the top of the page every time. This can very frustrating, especially when you are attempting to get caught up on posts and events that are many hours old.

Facebook is the number 1 app that all mobile phone users and should be in a fully workable condition that eliminates these problems (or annoyances)

We have declared victory due to the release of the Facebook Beta for Windows Phone 8. I personally want to thank you all for your support in signing the petition.

Sometimes even big corporations need a little persuasion to do the right thing :-)

BTW, you can download the new app at:

We're still getting more signatures from the Netherlands from an article written in the Dutch Windows Phone community site (http://wp7.nl). Many thanks again Raymond!!

But we will most probably print and ship the petition tomorrow

However, change.org does not allow uploading of pictures on their site, I will be posting all future updates and pics from my blog at http://rolly.perreaux.com

But will also post a note here to let you know.

      Cheers!

First of all, THANK YOU for signing the petition!!

When I started this petition I was hoping to get only a couple of hundred signatures. The fact that we have almost 1,900 is truly amazing. And that’s because of your support, so again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

All we need is a little more than 100 signatures to reach our goal of 2,000. Once we reach the goal, I will print the entire petition and will courier it to the appropriate person at Microsoft in Redmond WA. From there we'll see what kind of response we'll get. If I receive any news, I will definitely report it back here.

But before that, it appears that we have stalled on our drive to 2,000. So I am reaching out to you for one last time if you can re-share the link to our petition to your social networks, blogs, email, etc.

Hope you can help us push over the goal.
      Cheers,
