Sony's stock shot up after the announcement of the Xbox One via Xbox.com, on May 21st, 2013. One of the major complaints from potential consumers is the name of the console is too unoriginal, and is much like an "all-in-one printer" in how much effort was put forward. The name Xbox Infinity with the tagline "Infinite Entertainment, Infinite Possibilities" has been touted as the preference across the board. In fact, during the announcement, when the name was announced, you could hear the hesitation and literally obligatory clapping that people were giving. Normally companies should make their own decisions and take the consequences, but I think it is in the best collective interest of their shareholders to save themselves from a potential meltdown come Holiday 2013.
