The Mars corporation, which also owns the Wrigley Company, and Seeds of Change, the organic non-GMO seed distributor, has reportedly spent $376,650.00 to fight against California's prop 37 requiring GMO labeling on all products. See report. http://www.kcet.org/news/ballotbrief/elections2012/propositions/prop-37-funding-genetically-engineered-food.html

We need to require food manufactures to be transparent about what they put in the products they make.

All people have the right to know what's in the food they eat. All people have the right to know how a food is made and what is in it.

This month Mars will make millions of dollars selling Halloween candy such as :

Milky Way
M&M's
Twix
Skittles
Snickers
Mars Bar
Orbit gum

They also produce non-confectionery snacks and other foods
Uncle Ben's and pasta sauce brand Dolmio
pet foods (such as Whiskas and Pedigree brands).

Boycott Mars corporation. Don't buy Halloween candy. Insist that Mars support the labeling of GMO foods.

Thank you for the wonderful support you've given to the petition to make Mars Corporation support the labeling of genetically modified food. We quickly reached the minimum goal of 100 people but let's keep going, The goal is now 10,000 signatures.

Even though Halloween is over, we need to keep up the work to tell Mars corporation that we don't like what they're doing and we want them to change.

I've changed the image on this petition to include some of the candy products that Mars produces so that it will be easier to notice. Please keep up the good work and spread this petition around as much as possible.

      Thank You

It's worth noting that Mars Inc. has come under much criticism for its other practices. And if at any point they decide to support the labeling of GMO "food", I don't think it would be enough for me to buy from them.
They have been accused of buying Coca from West Africa from a company that uses child slaves, as well as using meat sources for their candy, which vegetarians object to.
If you go to the Wiki Site for Mars and look under Criticisms, you can get more information.

We need to stop buying "food" from corporations that will not tell us what it has been made with.
These corporations need to accountable to their customers and operate in a standard of fairness and transparency. Otherwise we do not need to purchase from them.

We have a right to know what is in our food. GE food is not safe to us or our environment.

I love M&Ms but will no longer by them for myself, my family, or friends, nor will I buy any other Mars product, thanks to Mars' financial contributions to take away our collective right to a label on GE foods.

Truth and transparency in labelling, food companies know what they are doing is wrong!
