Include music by T.Rex in the opening ceremony of the London Olympic Games

      London, United Kingdom

Marc Bolan was born in Hackney, east London in 1947 and lived all but two of his almost-30 years in the capital.
He is the greatest rock star to hail from the area that is now hosting the Olympic Games.
With T.Rex, his music and style kick-started the 1970s and began a cultural revolution, leading to what became known as Glam Rock.
This Hackney boy must be represented in the opening ceremony if it is to reflect accurately London life and British cultural history. Marc Bolan is a 21st century icon who must not be overlooked. Get It On!
