On October 18th 2011, Kyle Voissem, was charged with throwing boiling water on his dog Byron after he urinated on the floor. Voissem was first charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty. Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Lorraine Scaduto has recently informed that due to the severity of the burns on Byron the charges have been upgraded to a felony, said today, Friday.

His bond hase been set at $100,000 and he faced court with the upgraded charges On February 2nd 2012

According to pawsitivechange on February 2nd, it was the preliminary hearing for the felony charge of Kyle Voissem.

Based on the officer's testimony, after they received a tip, they arrived at Kyle's apartment and they were allowed to search both dogs owned by Kyle. The arresting officer claims that Kyle put shirt on Byron and it was suspected that it was to hide Byron's injuries. The officer told the judge that Kyle had admitted to pouring the hot water. Kyle now denies to pouring the water on Byron. He now claims that he just splashed or flickered some of the boiling water. Byron's injuries contradict Kyle's claim and the Assistant State Attorney's office acknowledged it. The case will continue on Feb 28th in felony court at 26th

This was nothing but a cruel, tortuous act. This person is dangerous and should be locked away for the safety of animals AND humans. No telling what other things he has done that he hasn't been caught for or what he might still do.

What kind of person would throw BOILING water on a loving pet? A SICK person! This young man clearly has a mental and physical brain dysfunction. Look at his eyes and see for yourself. I've seen it many times in abusers and murders.
