Keep the "Broadlands Community” at their homeschools of Eagle Ridge and Briar Woods.

Broadlands was originally at Broad Run, then was moved to Stone Bridge and was then eventually moved to Briar Woods.  Briar Woods was built to house Broadlands.

Broadlands is 98% built out and is ready for long term stability. We do not want to be placed at a school that will have us revisiting this issue in a few years.

People moved to “Broadlands” to be a part of “The Broadlands” community. We implore you to not divide up our neighborhood or “community of interest.” A “community of interest” is defined as a local community which shares social and economic interests.

We know best what binds our community together. The funds and man-hours of the families in Broadlands have facilitated many of the wonderful programs and technology here today.  Our families are in school together because we are a part of Broadlands, participate in neighborhood activities together because we are part of Broadlands, and this is a huge part of the appeal of this community.

It is our hope that this process can be a continuation of the Elementary Redistricting with long term stability as its eventual goal. Let's not have an undoing of the long and successful elementary redistricting.

Neighbors in Broadlands please sign this petition; reach out to your representatives on their Facebook pages and through email.  They can be found at, Mr. Eric Hornberger, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Vote-Eric-Hornberger/202249939805781?fref=ts and  Eric.Hornberger@lcps.org, and Mr. Kevin Kuesters, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kevin-Serves-Loudoun/159555617451695?fref=ts  and Kevin.Kuesters@lcps.org  We encourage you to acquaint yourself with your representative and reach out to all school board members.  The contact information for each of them can be found at http://www.lcps.org/Page/1629

Let your voices be heard, and keep the Broadlands community intact!

I would like my kids to go to Eagle ridge and Briar woods which is closer to home instead of going miles away. And why us?

We purchased a home only for the schools and it does not make sense to send our kids to a different school after going through so much trouble .

Busing my kids past the closest high school is ridiculous and irresponsible. Planning shows brambleton will be building another HS on its grounds forcing our kids to shift to HS6 then in 5 years come back. How do you make a non-contiguous school zone and argue it makes any sense?????

I moved here to be part of a great community. Briar Woods was built to address our high school education needs and I want that opportunity to remain intact.

I have family there, and the children should have the stability provided!
