Investigate the Iredell County Sheriff's Office Domestic Violence Unit

    1. Petition by

Domestic Violence Victims of Iredell County, North Carolina

Domestic violence victims have become sexual harassment victims as a result of seeking help from the Domestic Violence Unit at the Iredell County Sheriff's Office. Suzanne Wick and Lisa Mangiardi gained enough courage to get help from their respective abusive households by seeking protection from the Domestic Violence Unit. Unfortunately, these women were subject to sexual harassment by Deputy Sheriff, Ben Jenkins, at their most vulnerable state. Throughout the course of litigation it has become apparent that there could be more domestic violence victims that have been subject to the same type of sexual abuse that Suzanne and Lisa experienced. With this in mind, we are petitioning for the Iredell County Board of Commissioners to conduct an investigation of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Domestic Violence Unit to uncover these potential victims so that they may be brought to justice.

Women have the same rights as men. Women's rights are human rights. Women should be able to live in the future around the world freely and without fear.

“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.”

I was living in Iredell county when I was a victim of domestic violence. I was not treated with dignity, respect nor given any understanding .. nor were my civil rights protected, followed up on and even they cyber crimes committed against me with proof ignored. My dog was murdered and I was told to simply leave while my abuser was allowed to do as he pleased which was stall with abandon..

These allegations NEED to be investigated and the truth brought to light - and any officers who have so foully treated those who turned to them for help should be PUBLICLY SHAMED AND THEN THROWN UNDER THE JAILS FOREVER!!!

I am a survivor of domestic violence. San Jose Police officer, San Jose Major, and City Councils covered for the abuser due to the conflicts of interests. So, DA office of Santa Clara County, CA had to covered for all of those public office and servants. My case was never process, the abuser was never contacted; but the good things were those who practiced with misconducts, deceptions, lies, covered up, and illegal practices were all fired, removed from their positions. The investigator and her supervisor got demoted to patrol because Da Sousa had asked Parente to record me without my knowledge or consent. Also, the investigator who also took my body injuries, had used a out of dated doctor. DA Daniel who was the Supervisor of Family Violence Unit also did not process my case but I was misled, deceived, lied to, set up, with false medical report and conflicts of interests by SJ Police Officer. So, my case is still there, unprocessed. I hope you get what you deserve-humanity, dignity, integrity, honesty, the right of a human being to be treated with compassion and grace for the pain that you had been to. Someday, you will meet those who walks the same path as you did, your experiences and knowledge of the law enforcement, and you will be able to guide them to the path that had helped you.

Shame on those who pledge to protect and don't.
