Everyone has the inherent right to birth a child. While procedures and treatments for a infertile couple is mostly out of reach, for the insurance companies the costs are minimal compared to other medical procedures and treatments. Insurance companies have the means to help families see their dreams come to fruition. Furthermore, it is unethical for insurance companies to not provide the funding for the treatment the patient needs. Especially since the patient is paying a monthly premium for the services the insurance company isn't providing. Thank you for your signature. The few minutes you just spent completing the online form will help a families' dream come true.

I also have an active petition for this to be passed in Virginia. Please sign my petition and maybe together we can get this to be a federal mandate.

Here is the web address for my petition:

How can insurance companies justify not covering infertility treatments and procedures when they cover birth control?

The only thing I have ever wanted in life is to be a mother. I couldn't imagine life without my son & I can't imagine the heartache infertile couples go through. I think it is COMPLETELY ridiculous that insurance companies add more heartache & stress to these couples by refusing them adequate coverage to try all things possible to make their dreams of having a family come true. They have enough worries dealing with infertility...why add money worries into the equation!??! It's not right.

My husband and I also are dealing with infertility and there are a lot things we are not able to try due to money and how much it all costs. We want a family more than anything, but it seems that if you can not get pregnant on your own, you better be rich!
