While I never used this hospital, I know how important it would be to keep Glen Cove Hospital open as I found that when my mom was at NUMC, the staff were excellent but there were not enough of them due to budget constraints. Closing Glen Cove Hospital would put a strain on other local hospitals, such as St. Francis, LIJ Syosset, Winthrop, and NUMC, making them more understaffed due to a greater influx of patients.

I have had a family member at the hospital and the care and treatment was great. We are closing down too many hospitals here in Nassau and also in Suffolk and the area has a larger population than ever. Soon there will be nowhere for people to go for treatment and care.
