Montreal is the business hub of Quebec. Montreal is and always has been known for its mixture of nationalities and the heart of business in Quebec. We must keep Montreal bilingual to maintain its competitiveness with all other key cities in Canada and North America. By maintaining its bilingual status we are keeping our doors open to accept and retain the best entrepreneurs and their associates in Montreal. By keeping Montreal bilingual we are inviting the best minds in the World to make their home in Montreal and Quebec.

We are now over 10,000 strong in this petition, where do we go from here?. I have heard this from a few who have signed this petition and many more who are doubters. I say that we have the courage to take this petition to the next level, that is, to form an entity by which we can take our message to the greater public in this Province. The New Year is a good reason for us to take the opportunity combine our voices and participate as a political force. To all those that agree, please send me your affirmative message. We all read and hear of the misguided direction this Government is leading this Province and if we are to do anything we should stand together and say NO. We will not agree with the actions of this Government and we will do something about it. We live in one of the great democracies in this World. If we do nothing we are to blame for our future. To run away from our homes is not the answer. We must declare that we are here to stay and retain our democratic rights.

The Provincial Government has extended its mandate in ruling this Province and City. To justify its legitimacy to protect the French culture, it seems that a unilingual language is not enough. The Government is suggesting that we abide by a uni-cultural standard of life in this Province as well.
We must put an end to this madness and submit a petition of tens of thousands of names to voice our concerns.
Please help by submitting a copy of this petition to everyone you know that cares about the future of this City and Province.
Our future, our children's future, depends on our actions today. We cannot afford to remain quiet and wait for someone else to stop this Government. It is our responsibility to put an end to this nightmare.
Help me.....help yourself.... and let us help the next generation keep Montreal the City we love, free to grow and prosper.

I lived in Quebec for several years as an english speaking landed immigrant. The whole province should be bilingual. It is a beautiful place and I loved my years there and also made an effort to learn enough french to get by on.

Because we need to have freedom of thought and of speech... The world is a colourful place and every ethnicity and language adds to that flavour. Montreal is a international city... Drop the destructive discussion and move into modern times... The Global universe and citizens share unity...Merci beaucoup! FYI I speak four languages and I wish I spoke ten so there for limiting beliefs and opportunities.

As a proud Quebecquois I sign this petition to add my voice against the isolationist parti quebecqois French language laws that do nothing but further alienate the beautiful province of Quebec within this great country.
