This is important. A group of 5 of us went to Sandeep Dixit (MP, East Delhi) with our list of demands and suggestions for women's safety (mostly in Delhi because that's what comes under his purview). He obviously cautioned us that there were many constraints that he will face and he is a small cog in a giant giant wheel, but he wanted a proper idea of what the protests are exactly about and what our demands are. Mr. Dixit was actually very good- he listened very carefully for 2 hours and took copious notes. We have also sent him a written list of demands and suggestions (obviously as lay citizens of this country) and he has advised us to send it to the Justice Verma Committee with AS MANY SIGNATURES AS POSSIBLE. The biggest betrayal to this girl who lost her life would be giving up this cause of women's safety, and the biggest homage - to stick to it in a sustained way.

Sincerely,
