Government of India (Home Affairs & FRRO): Resume IVF/surrogacy for singles, gays, and same sex couples.

    1. Petition by

      Travis Anderson, B.S., M.P.A.

      Lancaster, CA

I went through a recognized in vitro fertilization (IVF) surrogacy program in India. With the help of the Medical Team, an egg donor mother, and surrogate mother in India, I am the proud biological father of twins Lucila and Angelo and am raising my twins here in the US. However, when I contacted the IVF surrogacy program in India regarding my remaining embryos and my desire to have more children, I was informed of the India Govermment's new "medical visa" which must be obtained for IVF surrogacy in India and one of the new conditions is the foreign man and woman must be married for at least two years, and same sex marriages are not accepted. This new requirement for IVF surrogacy in India discriminates against single women straight and gay, and single men straight and gay, and same sex couples. Please sign my petition to stop this discrimination against single women straight and gay, and single men straight and gay, and same sex couples from accessing affordable in vitro fertilization treatment and surrogacy in India.

Every person deserves the same opportunities to get a family. And the kids will be better in a family which love them, no matter what are their sexual orientation

We have already had one child through surrogacy in India and are still trying for a second. We have technically been grandfathered in, but it is still a very stressful situation and would be much easier if they would revert the change in visa requirements to the way it was before.

We were considering this option, and it is a shame that hatred once again is ruling the day.
