Hiding aspartame in milk, without disclosure contradicts and undermines the intent of the FDA's focus on labeling. We all deserve to know what our foods contain. Milk is consumed by many, and giving the dairy industry the ability to hide aspartame in milk without disclosing it on labels puts people at a disadvantage, as aspartame is known to precipitate MS and Parkinson's Disease. It also inhibits children's brains from developing. We should be given the ability to see what is in our milk so that we can make educated decisions about which milk to purchase. When considering the dairy industry's petition to allow for aspartame in milk without disclosure, I urge you to remember your organization's tag line - "Protecting and Promoting YOUR Health", and deny that petition.
