Put Aboriginal Australian women on the covers

Fashion magazines such as Vogue, grace their covers with "beautiful" women. However these women, (with only two exceptions: Elaine George in a 1993 Vogue, and Samantha Harris, June 2010 Vogue), do not represent the Aboriginal (traditional owners of the country) women of Australia. This problem encourages further alienation of these people. How are young Aboriginal Australian women going to feel that they are beautiful when the main image of beauty they see is white? Aboriginal Australian women should frequently grace the covers of Vogue, Glamour, Vanity Fair etc, and not just be an occasional, rare token.

Please, please share this, I only have 175 signatures and that will not in any way convince the editors of these magazines that this is what the country needs. So please, share this, facebook, tumblr, email, whatever. Thanks everyone :-)

There are so many beautiful Aboriginal Australian women (and men) on this continent, so let's see 'em! Everyone needs to feel represented and beautiful.

All women deserve to be represented, and all women deserve to see all types of women represented regularly.
