As you’ll recall, on March 21 we, as a community, were successful in our endeavors to convince the Escondido City Council to seek another area for their Water Department buildings and industrial vehicles. We clearly told them we thought our area near the Escondido Humane Society and the northeast entrance to Daley Ranch needed to remain in its natural, pristine state. With the petition signatures we gained through this website and others, we had over 1000 signatures.
We’re going to celebrate that victory for our community. Several founding members of a group that started the effort, now calling ourselves the El Caballo Park Conservancy are seeking a 501 (3) (c) nonprofit status in order to begin a new park in the area. We want to have wounded warriors programs with horses and dogs, among other things.
Please go to the website to see the flyer and come help us celebrate YOUR VICTORY on June 23 from 1-4. We’ll have free horse rides, horse demonstrations, available food, etc.
