On April 10, 2012 Coach Lauren "LP" Paul was dismissed from her position as head coach of the Franklin & Marshall College women's lacrosse team. Her untimely removal was unjust, poorly investigated and, at its core, a cowardly attempt to appease a small group at the expense of a carefully nurtured, successful and well-loved team/family. Paul is being used as a scapegoat because F&M would rather fire her under false allegations than commit to a real conversation about hazing and college athletics.
Sign this petition if you:
1) Agree that Paul's removal was unfair, unjust and without due process.
2) Want to see F&M lacrosse restored to its status as a top-notch program, under the leadership of beloved coach, Lauren Paul.
3) Believe in the power of "YEER" and believe in the devotion and honor of its creator, Lauren Paul.
Our ultimate goal is to make F&M responsible to both its students and employees. We demand a formal and transparent process be created and uniformly implemented before any administrator, teacher or coach be dismissed from his or her employment. A thorough investigation and opportunity to confront allegations made against Diplomat staff are critical to protecting the reputation of our school. Ben Franklin and John Marshall would expect no less of their namesake.
