In light of recent shootings.. Sandy Pointe, Oregon, Aurora, please address our totally inadequate mental heath care and support for the mentally ill.
Our health care system sorely lacks funding for psychiatric care.. Deeply disturbed teens and young adults are without the care and supervision that their families desperately want for them..
Tragic shootings such as those that have shattered our country might be prevented by thorough, comprehensive mental health care and support of families. Please act now..

To:
President Obama and Congress, President of the United States
President of the United States
U.S. Senate
U.S. House of Representatives
Act now to address our National Mental Health Crisis. Deeply ill individuals are killing our citizenry. We ask you to act now to provide more comprehenive mental health care in this country for the mentally ill.

Sincerely,
[Your name]

Because it has become an ocurance that is normal, not out of the normal. This kind of ocurrnce should never, ever happen, either in a grade school, neither at a college nor in a restaurant nor ANYWHERE. Why are Americans traumatizing themselves? It's because our gun-crazed culture drives them to itl

We have 5 children, 2 have bipolar and one has Autism . It is astronomical the costs in medication, doctors, therapies and lawyers to get the school districts to do the right thing to educate our children. With care our Sons function well and contribute to our society. We need to help families treat their children and not isolate them and deny services which is the norm.

I personally have a close family member who is suffering from mental illness. He is a 14 year old boy. His parents are desperately trying to get help for him. They are having a very difficult time with the public school district who is suppose to be helping him. They are allotted a certain amount of from the government to help these kids that are suffering from mental illness. They are actually denying him the help he so desperately needs. It is absolutely absurd. This has got to be addressed!!! So many of these tragedies can be avoided if everyone would put people first & stop focusing on the almighty dollar!! These senseless tragedies in our schools will continue until the government & our school districts actually get involved in HELPING the children who need it & and stop hoarding the funds that are designated for helping those children!!!

The nightmare my family has been going through to try and keep him, my family and our community safe has been above and beyond disturbing. People need to know how every aspect of Mental Healthcare in this country is truly failing. It encourages and pushes these ill children into society, knowing they are dangerous, but putting money ahead of lives. Insurance companies, school districts and our Government are all guilty of tossing integrity and moral obligation out the door and they need to be stopped!!!! These children are weapons too, its not just the Gun Control. That is only the easy and cheaper way out. They are avoiding the true and more expensive issues here and not taking advantage of "warning signs"...just ignoring them!!!
