As of right now, the Diocese of Trenton is planning to charge Memorial School $50,000 a month to rent the old Holy Family School building, which was shut down several years ago. Memorial School is in Union Beach, NJ, a town devasted by Superstorm Sandy, and the school will take months to be ready to reopen. Charging this rent will take money out of the town and away from their efforts to rebuild. To show their good "faith" the Diocese should rent it to them free of charge, and only charge for utilities used or any maintenance necessary to get it up and running.

Having to pay more then a token rental fee is disgraceful. The church should practice what it preaches.

As a former teacher at Holy family school for many years, I know many of our families came to us from Union Beach. They supported our school, now is the time to support them.
