Diocese of Trenton New Jersey: Justify sudden "resignation" of Sister Sharon Santos of St. Mary's

The sudden "resignation" of Sister Sharon Santos of St. Mary's Mother of God RC Church in New Monmouth, New Jersey has left the parishioners heartbroken, confused and shocked to say the very least. The fact that she not only "resigned" but abruptly vacated her home of twelve years even earlier than originally planned without explanation, in such an urgent fashion has caused suspicions and many rumors to circulate. The parishioners of St. Mary's are confused and concerned as to WHY and HOW someone who is loved as much as Sister Sharon is by so many both young and old can just "disappear" without any true or real explanation so suddenly. The people of the parish deserve an answer.  I for one feel Sister Sharon "is" St. Mary's.  Our concerns deserve to be addressed and our questions should be answered by the Diocese of Trenton New Jersey and not ignored.  Please join our cause by signing and sharing our petition with friends and family.  Continue praying for Sister Sharon and thank you for your support. God Bless!

When Msgr. Walsh left we all were aware of where he was going. Not knowing where our beloved Sister Sharon is at this time is a major issue.

Stripping Sister Sharon of her title as a nun is truly unjust and appalling. Sister has served God, inspired parishioners, and taught children the liturgy for many years in our parish. Now after serving devoutly, she is being treated with disrespect by the church officials who should be commending her for her dedication and faithfulness. The church is always trying to inspire more people to attend mass and join the parish; however, it is this type of corrupt behavior that drives good people away. As Christians we are asked to love one another and follow in the steps of our savior. The question to ask here is, What Would Jesus Do? Would he abandon an honest, obedient, and holy woman who has served faithfully and given her life to teaching his word? The answer is no he would not, yet it seems that some church officials would. This situation needs to be rectified immediately, and Sister Sharon should be reinstituted as a nun in St. Mary's Parish.
