Deregulation of Electricity in Georgia

The consumer today has no choice in Georgia for electricity, therefore there is no competition and we have to pay what the monopoly Georgia Power says to pay, which is second highest per kilowatt in the US!! Case in point look at the state of Texas, and the choices the consumer has overall due to the choice, competition has lowered the average per kilowatt charged! Help us change our electricity bills like other states are already taking advantage of energy deregulation - see TX, PA, NJ, NY, MD and even Washington, D.C.!

This link will point to the benefits of deregulating electricity just like natural gas was deregulated in 2002.
When I moved to GA in 1998, I had no choice and was paying 1.37 per therm since deregulation; I am now paying .3990 per therm the lowest I have ever paid since the law was passed-There is more competion and this allows the consumer more choices and better customer service too.

Our local electric company charges over double per KwH than Georgia Power, or other power companies. Allowing deregulation would open up the market and help lower energy prices.

Because the monopoly Georgia Power has is abused by the company. And I would like to see competition so that we the people that pay for all this crap get the best deal.
