1 in 10 women have Endometriosis in the UK, some of these are young women beginning their menstruation cycles, and many of these are women who have been taught to ignore symptoms such as heavy bleeding and pain since an early age because education has prevented them from knowing about Endometriosis. I believe that within the school curriculum there is a desperate need for Endometriosis to be introduced when teaching young girls and women about sexual health alongside the information they recieve about sexually transmitted diseases. Knowledge is power and enabling young women to recognise the important changes within their bodies and to know that Endometriosis, the UK's second most prevelent Gynaecological condition can, if untreated, lead to chronic pain and infertility .. and mostly that it is NOT OK to live with pain. We need to break this wall of silence and empower a new generation of women.

Because my daughter has it & did at 16. Early detection will come with more education!

Because the love of my life is dealing with endometriosis. And the more educated people we have out there the better the diagnosis and the treatment will be.

It is EXTREMELY important to me. I have stage 4 endometrisois and found out a year ago. I have pain, feel like a guninne pig and no doctors can help or even know what option to go with. I have seen 5 since I lost my left ovary and then to find out my large/small intestions, bladder, vagainal canal are coverted in endometeris. I can't take this pain, wait, tears, doctors not knowing what to do.
