The Richard C. Green is an important cornerstone of the Raytown Community. This establishment offers numerous activities for people of all ages. They have Bitty Sports for children 3-5 including basketball, baseball, soccer, and football. They offer free Kids in Action every night of the week, Kids Night Out, Dance classes, Martial Arts training, Tween Orientation on how to use all the equipment and how to eat healthy, Multiple exercise classes, free Wellness Training to get people started on the right track, Personal Training, Swim Club, Swim lessons, Life guard training, and a Water Club for the senior citizens of the community. Our local High schools use this establishment for their swim meets and their training. It holds roughly 1,000 members at the moment; that's not including members children and family who use this facility as a safe place to go, stay healthy, and have fun in a productive fashion. We have one month to show the YMCA corporation how much this place means to our community, and just what our neighborhoods would be losing if it's taken.

The YMCA is home to the Raytown and Raytown South swim and water polo teams, and provides a safe place for many students after school. Losing this would definitely be a detriment to our community.

I have been a part of the Raytown Y for 11 yrs. We are a family. We celebrate together and we grieve together. Don't take that from us.

If I join a fitness center, I would think first of joining this Y as it is not a long drive.
