Charles Brunner

Thank you for your recent e-mail. It is always a pleasure hearing from concerned citizens of the 96th District on issues that matter deeply to them.

You raise some very excellent points and I share many of your concerns. You are right, no more innocent children should have to go without justice and proper steps can be taken before it is too late.

Representative Thomas Hooker (R- Byron Center) introduced House Bill 4872 on July 27, 2011 which would prevent such a tragedy from happening in the State of Michigan. House Bill 4872 was referred to the Committee on Judiciary for a hearing. I will continue to monitor this pending legislation and will make sure to keep your view points in mind regarding this issue should it come to the floor of the House of Representatives for a debate or a vote.

You may monitor this legislation at www.legislature.mi.gov.

Again, thank you for your correspondence. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future regarding this, or any other matter of concern.

Please know that you have my full support regarding this issue.

Sincerely,

Charles M. Brunner
State Representative
96th District
