Prohibit dangerous "free to good home" pet listings!

Craigslist provides a good alternative to pounds that kill the animals, but it also is home to a horrendous group of people who lurk on Craigslist for free animals. Free kittens are sometimes fed to large snakes, free puppies and dogs are used as fighting dogs, rodents intended as pets are fed to reptiles, and there is an endless number of backyard kitten and puppy mills who use them as breeders, and the folks who take free animals and sell them for ridiculous prices.

Trying to screen out bad people by judging them doesn't always work. Some people will take their kids or wives to make them seem trustworthy, when in reality they are anything but. One sick man took his kids to pick up free cats to mutilate for his own warped pleasure! It's time to stop these tragedies.

Craigslist, we the undersigned request you force a minimum of $10 rehoming fees for all animals, and ban rehoming fees larger than $200, to make animal flipping less profitable.

It is awful that people take free dogs & use for bait, resell, etc.

A post graduate degree is not needed to know that the trading, auctioning, giving for free, etc., of sentient beings of any kind is not something that should be allowed considering our current levels of compassion, common sense and ethics evident in our society. It is certainly the "me" generation, and whatever makes money, entertains or pleasures a person is the first priority no matter who is hurt by it. Where has the humanity gone?
