On May 8th, the people of North Carolina voted in support of Amendment One, a constitutional amendment that discriminates against LGBT people, couples & their families.

On May 12, 2012 the State Democratic Party of Connecticut holds it's State Convention. As a state that recognizes full marriage equality the united Democratic Party should stand against holding the National Convention in North Carolina.

In protest, the Democratic National Convention Committe should MOVE its convention (September 2012) to a state that upholds values of equality & liberty, and which treats ALL citizens equally.

It would be in poor taste for the democratic convention to bring that much financial support to a state that clearly and purposefully does not recognize all citizens as equal.

NC already had a statute banning gay marriage - that's bad enough. How long are we going to reward ignorance and intolerance?

Don't just boycott unless the DNC moves it out of NC, why not volunteer Connecticut as a better place to hold the Convention?

We need to send a message that we will not tolerate anything less than equality for all.
