To adopt a non-binding resolution supporting efforts to bring a total and complete international ban on the sale of ivory, without exception.

To adopt a non-binding resolution supporting efforts to bring a total and complete international ban on the sale of ivory, without exception.

    1. Petition by

A World With... and the Institute for Human-Animal Connection

We ask you, Colorado residents, to sign this petition because the failure to enforce the international ban on the sale of ivory will result in the extinction of elephants in approximately 20 years. This is an issue about conservation and preservation of our global natural heritage as well as a human security issue. Poached ivory is providing the money to international terrorist groups, bandits and international crime syndicates. Banning the trade is a fight against terrorism. Therefore, we believe that the state of Colorado can play an important role by becoming the first state to pass this resolution, and in doing so, adding our collective voice to the voices of millions of others that wish to live in a safer, more secure world, and one with elephants.

Sincerely,

Because killing an elephant for its ivory is immoral and disgusting. We should respect the life of these gentle giants co-habiting with us in planet earth. They have a right to life as us. Respect life!! Don't annihilate the elephant for stupid ornaments made from ivory.

Not just because they will become extinct, and sooner than we think the way things are going, but for the pain and torture inflicted on these poor animals!
