UPDATE (7/31) We have received attention and support from the following political leaders: Congresswoman Jackie Speier, Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, State Senator Jerry Hill, State Senator Leland Yee, Assemblyman Kevin Mullin, and County Supervisor Dave Pine.

ETS has canceled the AP scores of over 600 exams at Mills High School due to “seating irregularities”, stating that some students may have gained an unfair advantage. The ETS affirmed that the cancellation of these scores are not due to cheating or student misconduct. The ETS investigation has not proven student misconduct or that any students had an unfair advantage.

Canceling the scores will put students at a disadvantage when applying to college and can create significant financial burden from the loss of college credit. The retake is not a viable option; many students are unavailable and the delay between course instruction and testing puts Mills students at a disadvantage.

There is no evidence of any student misconduct or cheating. The integrity of these exams were not compromised and ETS has no grounds to invalidate over 600 exams taken at Mills. As per Testing Irregularities (pg 14) in the Exam Security section of the 2012-2013 AP Coordinator's Manual, seating irregularities alone do not warrant invalidation of over 600 AP scores.

Board of Trustees, please reconsider the score cancellation.

I'm a student. If this happened to me, I'd be royally pissed off. So, I figure the least I can do is sign a petition on their behalf.

Students need to be given a much more stronger and active voice in their education; their wills need to be respective with regards to issues whose outcomes may dictate the rest of their lives.

Because I know some of the people that attend Mills high school and would like them to have the equal opportunity that everyone else has when applying to colleges

AP's are difficult courses, they should not be cancelled for the students who worked hard to earn their scores.
