The tenants of the Burton Avenue Mobile Park have received an eviction because the land owners have submitted a plan to redevelop the land here. The 86 families that live here have nowhere to go and will likely lose the investment of their home because of this. Many people still have a mortgage and will be paying it off still after they are evicted. We have only found a small handful of spots outside of Barrie (4 or so), there is literally nowhere for us to go. On top of that the legal department for the landowners have advised if we do not remove our homes they also plan to send us a bill for the demolishment of our units.  For more information visit: https://www.facebook.com/BAMHOC

In signing this petition you are telling the Barrie city councillors, the OMB, and the landlord tenant board that you are against the proposed redevelopment and eviction of the tenants of Burton Avenue Mobile Park in Barrie Ontario.

It is important because the eviction is wrong. For the sake of an already wealthy developer getting richer, over a hundred of our fellow citizens will become homeless. It's wrong, wrong, wrong.

I have friends that live there. There is enough housing in Barrie now, I thought it was bad enough, City of Barrie took Park Place from the people, for what.........greed. We don't need to disrupt someone's already existing, comfortable lifestyle for the sake of more greed, do we? I vote the Burton Avenue Mobile Park, stays just the way it is.

The reason that I am signing this is that many people will loose their homes. The city and the county are not providing provisions for these families to maintain their quality of life. These people are a community in their park. There will be financial losses for these people. The residence of the trailer park have invested in their homes. A lot of these homes can not be moved because of the age of these homes. The county and the city do not have adequate housing for these people. The wait list for seniors subsidized housing is two to three years and they now have less then a year to find housing how is this fair to these people? I am signing this to support the people of the trailer park.
