Stop the potential demolition of The Palladium

The Palladium is at risk of demolition. There are talks of it being torn down to make room for parking  for the nearby court.

The Palladium is possibly the most important venue in Massachusetts. It has housed shows for bands of all sizes and genre's, and it's safe to say that the cultural and musical impact for the area will be massive with the removal of the venue. For the sake of the music, we are making this plea: KEEP THE PALLADIUM WHERE IT IS.

Obviously this petition is a plea to have the city keep The Palladium open any way it can. But, a way that you, the reader, can help directly is to donate money to The Palladium itself. The buildings mailing info is 261 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608. I'm sure any amount will help.

I never imagined this blowing up like it did. This has over 500 signatures in under an 18 hour period. This is not over yet, however. We only have one fourth of the signatures necessary for our goal. Keep sharing this, keep your friends educated, and most importantly, keep The Palladium. -Dustin

We are making progress, just keep your friends educated. Once we hit two thousand, I will email this to the city manger of Worchester, and the Palladium itself.

If this place gets demolished. I will literally die on the inside. I am always at the palladium. It's somewhere I go, where I'm not judged. Where I can share my love of music with people who love it as much as I do. I get a chance to meet and chat with my heros. This is the place where I go when nothing in life is going well. At least I have music that will always be right in my book. You can't demolish this place. You really just can't. It means the world to me & so many others. Would you rather have kids at the pallidum or out doing things they shouldn't be doing?

This is a great venue for smaller draw concerts. Its a landmark in Worcester and critical to the music scene.

As a young kid growing up in Massachusetts I attended countless shows at the Palladium. It was a source of entertainment for all of us in high school (despite the fact that we lived closer to Boston), and continued to be a popular place through my college years at WPI. It would be a real shame to see this place go.
