It doesn't matter what your background is or what you believe, if it was at one time sacred to a culture then we should respect that. This mound was used for various rituals and even possibly funerals. There will be a significant amount of people with ties to this area that will have a part of them destroyed. We must protect those people, and what their ancestors had a part of in history. It's not like this mound is only a few years old, it is 1,500 years old.

If we don't stand for something, then we will fall for anything. Stand up America and show some respect to these Native Americans who have memories, feelings, and history at this place. We CANNOT let this place be desecrated!

Stop the building of Sam's Club on an ancient Indian mound. Desecrating a scared place of the Native Americans is wrong, and I believe that it should be left alone.

Sincerely,

The mound should be fully excavated before any further disturbance occurs.

Native American's had a very special relationship with the Earth. And their sacred sites are a very rare and valuable part of our history that need to be protected.
