Cincinnati Taxpayers: Vow to not vote for Cincinnati City Council members who voted for the parking lease to be an emergency ordinance.

    1. Petition by

      Bill Johnson

      United States

This petition is to let Council members Yvette Simpson, Wendell Young, Cecil Thomas, Roxanne Qualls, Laure Quinlivan and Chris Seelbach know that we will not be voting for them come November for their decision to not allow the taxpayers to vote on an issue that clearly a majority of Cincinnati's citizens disagree with. We feel betrayed and will not stand for it.

To:
Laure Quinlivan, Council Member
Roxanne Qualls, Vice Mayor
Chris Seelbach, Council Member
Wendell Young, Council Member
Mayor Mallory, Mayor Of Cincinnati
Yvette Simpson, Council Member
Unless the parking lease is reversed in some way, I vow to not vote for Mark Mallory for whatever office he may run, as well as vow to not re-elect Cincinnati City Council members Yvette Simpson, Wendell Young, Cecil Thomas, Roxanne Qualls, Laure Quinlivan and Chris Seelbach because of their blatant disregard of the people of Cincinnati's wishes on the parking lease.

Sincerely,
[Your name]

While I Do Not Live or Vote in Cincinnati, I was Born There and live in NKY, So I shop & Dine there Frequently. I Have NO DOUBT that this New Parking Contract will lead DIRECTLY to Higher Rates, Less Service, Lower Revenue to the City in the Long Run, and HURT The Downtown Area! It also Disturbs me Greatly that 3 individuals on This Council I Supported Personally... I Never Meant to Support SUCH A POWER GRAB! To Not let the Citizens Vote on this Vital Issue is Simply Un-American... Very Disgusted & Disappointed! Have No DDoubt this will affect my spending in Cincinnati!

This is a bad decision all around and is a BAD investment of our resources.

Because it is our city and our voices are being ignored. Enough is enough!

This just HAD to be put through as an emergency ordinance to prevent dire consequences, yet low and behold, none of the horrible predictions came to pass. These "leaders" will lie right to our face and expect us to put them back in office. They are bankrupting this city and it has to stop.

I'm tired of our supposed leaders not listening to US the people and making changes in the dark of night that are contrary to our stated positions.
