Students shouldn't be punished with make up days due to upcoming strike

I feel that it is important that us Chicago Public School students do not pay for the mistakes from people such as mayor Rahm Emanuel and CPS CEO Jean-claude Brizard. With the upcoming union strike, children who currently attend CPS schools will be forced to make up the days that are missed due to this strike. However we are not the one's who have not reached on a deal with CPS teachers therefore why should we pay for their mistakes? Once this strike takes place and we are forced to make up the days that are missed this will affect students deeply. It will prevent us from starting summer activities such as summer job's, summer homework, summer vacation, etc. Therefore I believe that us students shouldn't suffer learning in the summer heat due to insufficient negotiations on behalf of CPS administration! Please sign this to show your support! By signing this you are sending a message to mayor Rahm Emanuel and CPS administration that you believe CPS students should NOT make up the missed days if a strike takes place! Support not only CPS teachers but also CPS Students!

The students only have to be in school for 170, therefore they do not really need to make up the strike days. I wonder how many days Rahm's children are actually in school. Oh wait, I forgot, upper class children only need to go to school until 2:15p.m. so they probably don't need to go to school as long either.
