CDTA STAR is replacing smoother riding STAR buses that hold more than two wheelchairs with rougher shuttle buses. The shuttle buses have only two wheelchair spots with a poor quality lift in the very back. These shuttle buses were never meant to be STAR buses they toss people with severe mobility impairments around causing them great pain and suffering. Because these shuttle buses have two wheelchair spots and a lift they are considered ada compliant they refuse to address this issue. These shuttle buses would be fine for other STAR riders who are not severely disabled. Transportation options for individuals with severe mobility impairments are scarce and they deserve a safe and comfortable ride like anyone else.
