I served in the Indian army for 33 years so can not forget whatever Indian army gave me and anything against it can not ignore.

The language of the article is ridiculous and irresponsible, and can only serve to alienate people, pitting them against each other.

Times of India is manufactured by a bunch of smart - english speaking - urbanly middle classed - differently sensitive (trying to make in-sensitive sound better) bunch of the new corp of careerist hacks who ride rough shod through its columns. That is my first point so this guffaw is mild by their abilities. 2) their sentivity about same sex marriages and mammary transplants is rather high and their grasp of real-politick is low - lets pardon them - they sexed up our mornings through techni-colour newsprint. 3) Muslims and a whole range of other dispensations are asked to demonstrate & prove their Indian-ness at the drop of a hat - and the majority community cannot even fathom the stresses they go have to through. But then Katju Sahab is another story - another matter!!!

Although this type of reporting is ridiculous, it is also a threat to the unity of Indian Army as well as India as a country. It may also be a trick of vested interested politicians to divide our country in a subtle way!
