This is a relatively small colony of approximately 3000 flying foxes. We have to educate people that we can co-exist with them as they are endangered a protected species of flying fox, and they are vital to the environment and should be allowed to stay.

Thanks to everyone who signed this petition, it's great to know there are so many people as passionate as I am that we cherish our unique flying foxes and allow them to do their vital pollinating in peace, without interference by Councils. Chopping trees down is very bad for the environment, and many trees will only survive with the help of the flying fox. Please don't believe bees, birds and butterflies pollinate the trees you are chopping down, it's 100% the flying fox.

Humans might be descended from Cuckoos because they don't like anything getting too close to them. How much joy and pleasure those with small minds and little love would take from their children and the children to come!A flight of Flying foxes is magnificent and they belong! We may question why there are so many of us and why we want everything for ourselves and cannot share!

We need to do everything we can do to protect bats as they are such a crucial cog in natures world.

Bats are unique and special animals that are extremely important to ecosystems almost everywhere. With the threats posed by habitat loss and white nose syndrome, protections need to be drastically increased, rather than putting bats in more peril.
