Allow screen doors on the new housing in Nautilus Park.

Balfour Beatty Housing is part of the Resident Energy Conservation Program taking place within Navy Housing. As residents of BBC, we could postpone air conditioning use (therefore reducing energy consumption) if we could have screen doors on our front doors. Not only will it allow better airflow, keep people from running their a/c in the spring, it will also add an additional security feature. Being able to have a closed, locked screen door when answerning the door will also make us feel safer.

Balfour Beatty Housing
Allow screen doors on the new housing in Nautilus Park, Cherry Circle and Dolphin Gardens.

I'd love to leave my door open for a breeze to reduce my AC use.

My family and I just moved into Nautilus in a middle unit. I would love to have a screen door in the front to reduce the cost of cooling and have some fresh air in the house. A little fresh air never hurt anyone and it reduces energy usage by the AC. The extra door for safety would also be amazing!!

I do not have a front window downstairs. This makes it difficult to keep an eye on my son while he is outside playing. Also, would be nice not to run the AC so much if there could be a breeze coming in from outside.

I feel if some can have screen doors without asking permission why can't we all...Pick 1 or 2 choices for design. Plus having screen doors will save money. We won't have to use the AC as much.

I would love to leave my AC off to help with the Energy Conservation Program and to enjoy some nice fresh air!
