Because changes necessary to stop backyard breeding are long overdue. Your petition is among those that a ‘search’ of change.org for the words “backyard breeding and companion animals” shows may share our strong commitment to stopping indiscriminate backyard breeding…perhaps everywhere. Apart from signing our petition at :http://www.change.org/petitions/dog-lovers-everywhere-sign-petition-a-3-part-pledge-to-stop-indiscriminate-backyard-breeding-by-byb-s?share_id=WUHCHqCrzq&utm_campaign=signature_receipt&utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition ,….

….please consider “Collaborating” with us. While our petition serves to bring widespread attention to this very long-standing issue, we’re hoping that all of you will share your email, Facebook .Twitter, etc. addresses with us at info@standupfordogs.com If we together can build what essentially would be a ‘private’ national network…perhaps even global…we can plan and organize truly meaningful actions to actually stop backyard breeding. (Please see some advocacy tools that already have been developed at www.standupfordogs.com/Issue1AMore.html )

Thank you. Please contact Stand Up for Dogs at info@standupfordogs.com

Domestic Animal Services is required to hold impounded dogs for 7 days. After this period dogs will be sold, re-homed or euthanised.

There are way too many animals languishing in shelters, waiting. All too often the wait is too long and they are killed through no fault of their own. It is ridiculous to allow purposeful breeding when these loving animals are being killed !!!!!!!

Way too many companion animals are being dumped, and losing their lives because of over supply. It's not like we're going to run out of dogs and cats after just one year of a breeding ban. I want Oscar's Law, and I want it NOW.

Lots of animals dying needlessly in pounds because people don't make the effort to research the breeds of dogs they purchase or to spend time with them and train them...long gone are the days when dogs sat out in the back yard and amused themselves...
