Aspro Internantional Marineland has, on October 9th, 2012, purchased and transported six wild dolphins caught in the annual 'dolphin hunt' in Tajii Japan. These dolphins are sentient beings of very high intelligence who were witness to their entire families' slaughter, as the dolphins who are not chosen for a life of slavery in the human entertainment industry are subsequently slaughtered and sold for consumption. Tajii is allowed to slaughter or enslave two thousand dolphins annualy. Japan says that it heritage rights that keep the dolphin drives going, where the Japanese had stopped hunting dolphins years ago due to human outrage. This practice only started again once the Marine park industry became involved, started buying wild dolphin for hundreds of thousands of dollars per dolphin. The Japanese then slaughter the remaining dolphins in the pods they capture, for human consumption. Knowing that the mercury levels are toxic when consumed in any great quantity, this dolphin meat will often be found in stores in packaging marked whale meat, as even most Japanese do not want to eat dolphin meat. By your company's purchase of the "Tajii Six", you condemn not only these six dolphins to a life away from their home and families, you in essence hand down a death sentence to their familes as well. Please release these six dolphins back to the ocean-home, where nature meant for them to live and thrive. Thank you, Veronica Wolski.
