Apologize for Blatant Discriminatory Message Targeting the Islamic Faith

    1. Petition by

Stream apologize for blatantly discriminatory and anti-Islam e-mail sent to state legislatures insinuating the paranoid 'dangers of Islam'.

Here is the story on Fox 2 News: http://blogs.riverfronttimes.com/dailyrft/2013/05/rick_stream_winston_churchill_islam.php

His e-mail read in part, "No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith."

Contact Rep. Rick Stream of Kirkwood, MO. & ask him to apologize for sending such a blatantly discriminatory e-mail about Islam and those individuals and families who follow it.

Please join us in telling Rep. Rick Stream that America is no place for such messages and he should be more adhering to the spirit of our country that encourages acceptance, and rejection of intolerance.

Or Send a Letter: MO House of Representatives

201 West Capitol Ave. Room 306
Jefferson City, MO 65101

Or Call: 573-751-4069

“This is not an isolated incident, rather we’ve witnessed a trend of growing anti-Islam remarks and sentiments at the state capitol that the leadership refuses to acknowledge or take any action against,” said CAIR-St. Louis Executive Director Faizan Syed, who has lived in Stream’s district for most of his life.

Because I don't want to see our country follow a path that is so destructive and unjust and just morally wrong. I have lived here all my life and until I became a Muslim I never knew what prejudice was but most certainly I do now. Don't judge or criticize what you do not understand. Please take the time to meet some of the people you talk about. We are not what you depict us to be. We are a very peaceful people, not the terrorists you label us as.

Ignorance is not interesting, and by the very act of forwarding this quote; he has endorsed ignorance, hatred, and prejudice. Islamic terrorists are to Muslums what the KKK is to Christanity.
