End exploitive liquor sales in Whiteclay, NE & open rehabilitation centers

    1. Petition by

      Whiteclay Awareness

We find it completely unacceptable that such a blatant and ignorant violation of human rights exists, and demand that the people of Pine Ridge be treated with the rights and respect they deserve. We as U.S. citizens have a responsibility to seek justice in this matter, because injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

I learned about this place in my American Minorities class. I'm not a very emotional person. After reading about this my hands were literally shaking, I'm pretty sure with anger.

This is despicable money-grubbing off of pure human misery. If I can help stop it by signing, I will.

This is very important to me because this company is killing our people. It is something Lexie believed in and I plan to support it since she no longer can.

I go up to Pine Ridge each year with Saint John's Church from Creighton University, and have seen firsthand the negative impact Whiteclay and alcolohol has on the community and culture. We need to change it, and take responsibility.

I recently took a Native American studies class about law on Native reservations. My professor showed us the movie on White Clay and I was astonished at the ignorance and the unfeeling treachery that these people feel. I also hate that the hands of the Pine Ridge Community are tied. I hope the shame alone shuts them down.

After viewing the documentary, I saw how alcohol depress a community and nothing is being done because they aren't technically apart of American culture.
