City of Airdrie is considering renovating Bert Church Theatre, this would mean adding a new entrance, adding a new community use room which could be used for recitals, festival, etc ,new bathrooms, a bigger corridor with coat checks, ticket booth and so on. In order for this to happen the city needs to see the support from the community. If you have used this theatre to watch shows or attended any events you will know how much this renovation is overdue. Please plan on attending the City Hall meetings of April 10th and 16th for a very short time while we present our short speech. You just need to sit in a seat or stand in the hall so they can see that the Arts is alive and growing in Airdrie. This is how the organized sports have rallied their troops, had their voices heard and managed to have more arenas built. It is time this city pays attention to the Arts groups and to our young performing arts children they deserve the same attention.
