The Women's Information and Referral Centre (WiRC) provides information, referral to specialist agencies and associated support to all women in the ACT and Region on any issue. The Centre also provides a free publication "What's on for women" with information on courses, workshops, groups and events in the ACT community; a library with books and publications on a variety of issues relevant to women's lives and free access to a computer and the Internet. The WIRC has been the one stop-shop for several decades, and without it, ACT women in need will be lost.

The Courts are suppose to be there to protect the innocnets. If they don't send a strong message to these animals who molest our children, they are not protecting them. If the Politicinas who appoint the Judges don't send them a strong message to properly protect our children, we should get a politician who will!

This centre offers valuable support for women who are going through tough times and need support. Where else will they go? there is no other service of this type in Canberra and I fear that the women of Canberra will suffer from its loss.

Women of all ages will need support at some stage of their lives and which some of don't have the support of friend's or family to help them. So providing this service to all women will help to improve the lives of many.

Women are disadvantaged by our society right out of the gate. Save money by removing something that helps business make money and invest money in making our women safer and better supported.
