As a member of the Trayvon Martin Organization, We the people ask If Trayvon Martin could have the same street he was killed at be renamed in his honor. We want this because we believe that his spirit should live on and the street named after him should be a memorial site to show the respect that Trayvon Martin deserves. We want to show that we do respect Trayvon Martin's existence on earth !

Because he is a martyr for all that is wrong in how we continue to deal with race relations in this country.

This just allows us to see how far Americans need to yet come. Our rights are daily being violated in the name of the law and lack thereof as Trayvon being the classic example as justice was denied to him and his family. I use a hood all the time especially when walking at night minding my own business. I guess that I'm one of the lucky ones that no one has blasted me yet for what I wear. The jurors that acquitted this man have children themselves and would be fit to be tied if something like this would have happened to one of their children that they love with all their soul and being. I pray that this never happens to any child regardless his skin color. Trayvon just happened to be the wrong color and at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I have a preteen son. I wouldn't want him profiled and murdered at a young age.
