Zoom is a great tool for working remotely. However, I noticed that closed captioning is only used for large meetings. This feature must be manually selected for each meeting. It is not right for a person to have to request the closed captioning for each meeting. This could be a hard conversation for anyone to have. Zoom needs to have an option in their meetings to turn the captions on or off automatically. This can be a button on the bottom ribbon which makes it easily accessible. As it is right now, the closed captioning features are mostly set by the host of the meetings. People with disabilities have no requirement to share their disability status with their employer, teachers etc.  This change allows people with disabilities or people with issues with accessibility to able to use closed captioning without having to disclose their disability and ask for permission. As it is now, Zoom allows users to turn on closed captioning but it is not an automatic option and it is not easily located. These automatic captions do not meet ADA standards and are a violation of basic human rights.
