STOP the Ahuja Clinic & Zoning-Law Changes

This petition made change with 613 supporters!

Since being elected as City Representative in 2013, I have circulated THREE petitions to solicit public support in opposing this development. We have been successful in stopping its approval each time. Now the developer, Ahuja Holdings LLC, is trying to change laws to permit this project via zoning “text changes” in Application 217-14.

A clinic cannot be built in a single-family residential zone without conforming to zoning regulations that the developer is trying to subvert. This would bring no value to our neighborhood, and it would be a precursor for further commercial development and traffic lights in the Mid-Ridges.

The Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on the text changes at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 16, 2017 in the 4th floor cafeteria of the Stamford Government Center. If approved, these text changes will have drastic ramifications and allow "clinics" to be exempt from certain protective regulations in single-family neighborhoods throughout Stamford.

Stamford homeowners have invested in our community based on our city's Master Plan and its zoning regulations. To permit this "text change" to make an exception for one developer is a broken promise to our taxpayers. (You can learn more at

Please join me in signing this petition and urging the Zoning Board to VOTE NO for Ahuja Holdings’ "text change" Application 217-14.

Respectfully submitted,
