Stop the Union Pacific late night trains through historic San Jose neighborhoods

Because of you, we've hit 100 signatures! Let's get to 1,000...

Sleepless Neighbors,

Thanks for your support!  We have more than 100 signatures in less than 24 hours.  Now let's increase that by orders of magnitude!

The trains do more than inconvenience residents and disrupt sleep.  The trains have a direct effect on overall quality of life, on health, on property values and on economic productivity.  These are incredibly serious sacrifices we - and our employers, our schools, our futures - are making so that UPRR can generate modest incremental income and a few companies can get raw materials shipped for slightly lower costs. I am a firm believer in capitalism, on building economic value -  I have worked in startup companies in the valley for the past 20 years.  But I believe that the most successful companies are responsible corporate citizens above all else.   Let's hold UPRR and their shipping customers to the same standard.

Please take a moment to share the survey with your social networks.  Are you a member of a neighborhood Facebook page?  Do you follow a regional business association?  Does your child's school have a group bulletin board?  Please share, as your reach will amplify the message and deliver it to many who may not be active on Nextdoor.com yet may still be affected by this corporate irresponsibility.

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to working together to encourage our political and business leaders to take action.

Regards,
Brad
