Stop Using 'Nigga' In Songs

This petition had 24 supporters

This petition aims to bring attention to the usage of the word “nigga” by  Zico of Block B. The word nigga comes from the racial slur nigger. Nigger has often been called the most offensive word in the English language. In an attempt to take back the word, black youth use the word nigga to refer to people in general, and often as a term of endearment.  Usage of the word nigga by people who are not black is an affront to many blacks. Although the word nigga is used commonly in rap songs, it is not exclusive to hip hop culture. We ask that Zico refrains from using the word in any future tracks, as well as in live performances of tracks that contain the word. Saying nigga isn’t real hip hop, don’t use a word you don’t understand.
