Why this petition matters
Started by Phương Nguyễn
Drunk driving is deadly both for drunk drivers and people who pass by. Statistically, a driver is 16 times more likely to have a fatal car crash than that same driver when they are sober when their alcohol level = 80mg/100ml blood (1). A person can achieve this by just over one drink depending on their body, and because it is different for everyone, it's best to not drink at all before/while driving. In 2020, alcohol was a factor in 90 deaths and 262 serious injuries (2).
Sign this petition to ask the government to lower the alcohol limit to zero for all ages. Drink driving crashes don't go easier on higher age groups.
